In Patna, the police have recovered a four and a half month old kidnapped child from a corn field. The police have also arrested one of the kidnappers. The arrested criminal said that after kidnapping the child, he was planning to demand a ransom of ₹50000 from his family, but the police have recovered the child safely within 24 hours of the incident.
Kidnapping of a child while he was asleep
Regarding the incident, the police said that Preeti Devi, wife of Budhan Kumar, a resident of Naya Tola Dedoor village of Bakhtiyarpur police station area, filed an application in Bakhtiyarpur police station on Saturday morning that someone had kidnapped her 1.5 month old innocent child while he was sleeping at night. As soon as the case was registered, the police swung into action and started investigating the incident. In this sequence, the police formed a team. The team formed by the police raided several places via the route told by the woman. During the raid in a village of Bakhtiyarpur, the police took a suspicious youth Sonu Kumar into custody and started questioning him. At first, Sonu Kumar tried to mislead the police. But when he was strictly questioned, Sonu told the whole story.
The child was recovered on the identification of the accused
On Sonu’s information, the police recovered the kidnapped Aryan Kumar safely from a corn field in the village. When the police asked Sonu Kumar the reason for kidnapping the children, the accused said that after kidnapping the children, he was trying to demand a ransom of ₹5,000 from their family, when he was caught by the police. Giving information about the incident, Abhishek Singh, police officer of Barh subdivision, said that Aryan Kumar was kidnapped for ransom while he was sleeping at night. But the police recovered the children safely from a field within 24 hours and handed them over to their family.
